Meet the team

Kevin Sligh II is a Director of photography and multimedia storyteller from Portsmouth, Virginia, now based in Philadelphia. He first explored creativity as an actor, but it was photography that pulled him behind the lens. What started as a hobby quickly grew into something more — following the old saying: “when someone asks if you can shoot video, you say yes, and now you do.”

Kevin went on to study Film and Media at Temple University, where he sharpened his craft and learned that stories work best when they come from real moments and real people. He’s the type who sees a scene everywhere he goes — in the details of a customer’s order at Dalessandro’s, at the corner store in South Philly at Jimmy’s, or even riding the Market-Frankford Line when someone’s selling turtles and oils. That eye for the everyday fuels his storytelling.

With Black Table, Kevin creates films, produces podcasts, and edits digital content rooted in Philadelphia’s energy and culture. His focus is simple: to make stories that feel honest, grounded, and connected to the people living them.
